Next Level Business Coaching Session No.5
How to manage people to create a thriving business!
The purpose of this session is to get you thinking about how you manage the people in your business. It’s not the be-all and end-all of managing people (that’s many volumes in its own right) but an introduction to the topic.
The people you employ contribute – directly or indirectly – on a daily basis to the strength and vitality of your business. You can’t run your business alone, so you rely on their skills and support. Your employees are there to help you to make money.
In this session, we’re going to show you how to build a strong workforce that will allow you to benefit from the huge improvements that a great team can bring to both you and your business.
Here’s what we’re going to cover in this session:-
(Each video is approximately 15-20 minutes long).
Video One.
- Why employ people in the first place?
- How to know you’re ready for your first employee.
- Steps to follow to take on your first employee.
Video Two.
- Leadership, Management, and Supervision.
Video Three.
- How to build a strong team.
Video Four.
- Effective Delegation.
Here are the resources associated with this session. They are all focused on helping you understand and communicate the value your business delivers.
Business Book Summary (Delivering happiness).
It is increasingly difficult for today’s successful business owners to dedicate hours every day to read the business books they need to digest, to keep moving forward. This is why we’ve started our “Done for you” business book review reading service, where we distill the essence of a business classic into a short readable chunk that you can read in about 20 minutes.
The book we’ve selected to go along with this Session is ‘Delivering Happiness’ by Tony Hsieh. This is the seminal book on understanding how to build a corporate culture that builds a real competitive advantage.

Commitment Form
Click on the image to access the commitment form. Remember that the commitment form is about holding yourself accountable. You’re going to make a commitment to get something done before the next session. This doesn’t have to be a big thing but it does have to be something that moves your business forward.
Once you hit submit on the form you will receive an email which will contain a PDF listing your commitment/s. I would recommend printing this out and signing it. Then place somewhere you will see it on a regular basis to remind yourself of the commitment you made.
